Interesting museum on the history of the Kapuskasing area. Loved especially the railroad cars and the train set. The staff was really helpful providing me with local maps and info. Did not realize there were WW One internment camps in Canada...learned about this from visit
Had a very enjoyable and interesting visit to the Ron Motel Memorial Museum today. Staff were very knowledgeable and really enhanced the experience. The sculptures were something I'd never seen before and left me amazed. The static displays were really interesting. The mini railway display was allot of fun to watch. Great job to those involved with its construction. I would highly recommend a visit for those of any age.
An adorable museum.If you happen to drive by Kapuskasing, take a few moments to stop by the train station museum. Although it is not accessible to wheelchairs, it is very interesting. Depictions of life in the early 20th century and pictures give you a good idea of life back then.The second caboose has a huge display of model trains that staff will explain in detail.There are also beautiful little figurines and scenes in clay that show the life progression of the "olden days".The museum is funded by donations.There is also 5 pokestops.
